Marsh UK is not thought to be affected by the latest round of job cuts announced by its parent.

Marsh & McLennan (MMC) today announced a cost-cutting program designed to save $350m a year. This would lead to at least 750 job cuts.

A spokeswoman for MMC said she was "not aware" of any job losses at Marsh UK.

Marsh said it expects about $225m of charges for the program, althought the job cuts would include some natural attrition.

It said its Marsh and Mercer Human Resource Consulting units will be most significantly affected by these actions.
