MediCare International has appointed Roger Green as international sales consultant.

The company which offers expatriate health insurance, said his primary role will be to concentrate on the further development of broker business.

MediCare said one its recently published International Industry Report 2005, showed that brokers still do not feel they receive enough technical support to advise on international health insurance policies and to service their clients.

David Pryor, managing cirector of MediCare International said: “We know from our research that while international health insurance is regarded as a niche area for many brokers, it is also perceived as a growing market. Brokers are looking to write more business in the Middle East as well as in Hong Kong, China, Eastern Europe, Russia and perhaps more surprisingly, South America.

"The UK market for non-resident business is also expected to show growth. With Roger Green's appointment and other broker focused initiatives we will introduce during 2006, we are looking to capitalise on this growth and help our supporting brokers grow their business too.”
