The Art Loss Register is seeking to recover this wooden statue of the Madonna and Child, which was insured for more than £14,000 by the Dutch insurer Nationale Nederlanden.

The 51cm-tall antique was stolen from a private residence in the Dutch town of Baarn in November 2000. The work of art dates from 1700AD.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
