Munich Re Underwriting (MRU) has increased the capacity of Watkins Syndicate 457 by 75% to £183.75m for the 2002 underwriting year.
The Lloyd's managing agent and its holding company, Munich Re Holding (MRH), have also announced that Dieter Berg, the head of the Munich Re marine department, has been appointed chairman of MRH UK.
Mark Watkins has been appointed chief executive at MRH. He was previously the Syndicate 457's active underwriter.
Dominick Hoare and Oliver Crabtree have become the active underwriters of the syndicate. Michael McCord has been appointed underwriting director of MRU.
