Vince Grimshaw, the Motor Vehicle Repairers Association's general manager, has resigned from the association to start his own consultancy.

MVRA is undergoing a strategic review and in a statement said it had no immediate plans to replace him. It is likely his various roles will be passed down among the senior managers.

Mike Monaghan, managing director of MVRA, said: “His experience and expertise have been invaluable over the past few years and we wish him every success with what the future holds for him.”

Grimshaw said: “My time at the MVRA has been extremely enjoyable and I would like to think that my relationship with the company will continue long into the future.”
