Marsh has announced the appointment of Marc Vassanelli as chief financial officer of Marsh, Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He will report to Alex Moczarski, CEO of EMEA and to Chris Murphy, CFO of Marsh Inc.
Prior to joining Marsh, Vassanelli was at Kroll Zolfo Cooper where he utilised his experience in finance, operations, and strategy to focus on the analysis, turnaround, valuation, and purchase and sale of special situations companies.
Vassanelli will be responsible for all finance and comptroller activities in the region. Country CFOs in the region will report to him as well as to their respective CEOs.
Welcoming him to Marsh, Moczarski, said: “Marc's experience, which covers the financial services, manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, transportation, defence and healthcare industries, make him ideally suited to take on this position. He will have a pivotal role in enabling the region to achieve its growth targets.”
