Independent reinsurance intermediary Benfield Group has appointed Charles Fry as chief financial officer of Benfield Greig, the Group's UK & International (excluding US) reinsurance broking operation.
Fry is a member of the senior management team of both the finance and operations areas of Benfield Group. His responsibilities include the management of the Finance Department of Benfield Greig, devising operational structures for overseas offices and developing methodology for the assessment of corporate risk.
He will report to the chief financial officer of Benfield Group, John Whiter.
Fry joined Benfield from PricewaterhouseCoopers in May 1999. Since then, he has taken on a number of positions including a lead role in Benfield's merger with E W Blanch in May 2001.
