Amlin has appointed Hiten Shah as head of corporate development. Shah will have responsibility for identifying and evaluating growth opportunities, as well as coordinating the Lloyd's insurer's capital planning activities.
Shah was previously an associate director in the financial institutions group at Hawkpoint, with a specialisation in the financial services sector.
Amlin chief executive Charles Philipps said the appointment would allow the company to more actively review growth opportunities beyond what could be achieved organically.
