Anne-Gaëlle Leillard has been appointed general manager of Lloyd's in France. She was formerly the operations executive at the Lloyd's office in Paris.
She will be responsible for maintaining the Lloyd's trading position in France and developing relationships with the French market.
Lloyd's director of worldwide markets Julian James commented: "France is a key market for Lloyd's, generating more premium than any other EU state other than the UK.
"Leillard's knowledge of the French insurance industry and experience in developing strong relationships with key players in the market will be of enormous benefit to her in this important role at Lloyd's."
Leillard will take up her position on 1 July.
