Law firm Morgan Cole has admitted Peter Sewell as a partner in its specialist professional indemnity division, Fishburn Morgan Cole.
The firm, which acts for several major insurers in the field, including a number of Lloyd's syndicates, said his appointment showed its commitment to the professional indemnity insurance sector.
Sewell qualified with the firm in 1995. He has since specialised in professional indemnity claims, mainly those brought against architects, surveyors and engineers. He also advises construction industry professionals on a wide range of non-contentious matters.
Sewell is the eighth person to have joined the partnership in 2001. This brings the total number of partners at Morgan Cole to 86.
