Ace Europe has a new European head after appointing Michael Furgueson to the newly created role president and chief operating officer, Ace Europe.
Furgueson will report to Ace European Group chairman and chief executive Gary Schmalzriedt.
Furgueson will have responsibility for the Ace Europe business, one of the most profitable subsidiaries of the Ace group, said the company. He will also assume responsibility for the administrative operations of the group's European operations.
He joined the company in 2002 as executive vice president, financial lines after 15 years with Chubb Insurance.
