’Our graduate scheme is designed to enable individuals to develop core technical skills and gain real-world experience,’ says chief technology officer
Merseyside-based broker The Acorn Group has expanded its technology team by recruiting six candidates to its graduate scheme.

Following the successful completion of the 18-month programme, The Acorn Group’s graduate scheme offers a pathway to full-time, permanent positions in a variety of roles at the broker.
The six new starters completed a rigorous selection process, including a selection day in January attended by 24 candidates.
Across the day, successful candidates exhibited technical aptitude, strong communication and interpersonal skills and analytical thinking.
Ian Truman, chief technology officer at The Acorn Group, said: “We are thrilled to welcome this talented cohort to our technology team.
”At Acorn, our rapidly growing in-house technology team, organisational culture that empowers talent and innovation and deep roots in Liverpool’s thriving digital community means that every new team member has the opportunity to make a genuine impact on our business.“
Driving innovation
As part of the scheme, graduates will go on to specialise in one of a number of areas including application support, devOps and platform engineering, process automation and artificial intelligence (AI).

”These graduates will play a vital role in enacting our initiatives as we continue to drive forward technological innovation in the insurance industry and champion the needs of the non-standard consumer.”
