’Technology sits at the heart of our ambition to deliver first-class growth and service, which is why it’s so important to us to champion and invest in emerging talent,’ says chief information officer
Hiscox has introduced its first technology graduate programme.

The new programme is aimed at attracting and developing the next generation of talent as the group looks to drive digital innovation and growth.
It will provide two specialist options – one focused on engineering, designed for graduates with a technical background, and one for those who wish to explore the broader business impact of technology.
Each graduate will undertake an 18-month rotation across core areas such as engineering, data science, cyber security and agile delivery, before moving into a permanent role.
Chris Loake, group chief information officer at Hiscox, said: “Technology sits at the heart of our ambition to deliver first-class growth and service, which is why it’s so important to us to champion and invest in emerging talent.
“Our new tech graduate scheme is an important milestone for us as we shape a team that is both forward-thinking and ready to lead the way in digital innovation.”
Graduate’s view
The scheme is designed for both technical and non-technical backgrounds and has welcomed its first six graduates across London, Lisbon and York.

”I’m encouraged to innovate and contribute to ideas that deliver meaningful results for the team and faster outcomes for our customers and through my rotations I’m getting to see exactly how technology moves the business forward and can be a source of competitive advantage.”
The number of graduates is set to increase later this year and into 2027, as the business aims to further accelerate its digital transformation.
