The division forms part of its plan double in size within the next five years
Acres Insurance Brokers has launched a new private client and high net worth division as part of its plan to double in size over the next five years.
The new service line will be led by Nick Corbin, who has over 12 years of experience in the private client sector. He will operate nationally from his base in Worthing, West Sussex.
He stated that the division’s goal is to provide a more personalised, relationship-based service for individuals with complex insurance needs.
“I really enjoy getting out in front of the client,” said Corbin.
“The beauty of the job is building that personal relationship with individuals. It is not what I would call transactional business – it is based on strong relationships and delivering bespoke solutions tailored to those individual requirements.”
A suitable match
The move marks a diversification for Acres, which has traditionally focused on agricultural and rural business. The broker said it intends to expand its clientele while maintaining its “core competencies and deep roots” in farming and rural communities.

Nigel Wellings, managing director at Acres, said appointing Corbin reflected the firm’s wider strategy for expansion and service enhancement.
“We are delighted to add him to our team to head up the new dedicated private client and high net worth department,” said Wellings.
“His experience, allied with a philosophy that tallies with our independent approach and growth ambitions, will be a great asset both for us and our growing client base.”
