’I am excited to be joining Antares at an innovative time,’ says new appointee

Antares Global has appointed Kevin Wenzel as its new chief financial officer, a statement released yesterday (4 January 2024) revealed.

Wenzel will be based in London and report to chief executive Mike van der Straaten.

He brings over 20 years of experience to the role, with him having held senior positions at insurers such as Allianz.

“I am excited to be joining Antares at an innovative time for the business and look forward to working with Mike van der Straaten and the talented team he has bought together,” Wenzel said.

Experience

Prior to Anatres, Wenzel was the deputy chief financial officer of Allianz Holdings.

Other executive leadership roles he held at the insurer included chief actuary – and prior to this he was the chief financial officer of LV, the general insurance company Allianz acquired in 2018.

Van der Straaten said it was ”genuinely a pleasure to welcome Kevin Wenzel to Antares”.

“Kevin has amassed deep expertise during his distinguished career, with a strong finance and actuarial background and having successfully implemented several data science solutions,” he added.

“His pragmatic commercial and solutions-orientated approach to driving business performance will be extremely valuable to Antares.

“This year will be a significant one for our business and we very much look forward to working with him to realise our strategic ambitions.”
