Aon has appointed Marsh veteran Chris Knutson as the new chief claims officer for its global broking centre (GBC).
In his new role, Knutson will lead over 100 claims professionals dedicated to the London market.
He will report to Tracy-Lee Kus, head of GBC, and also join the global claims leadership team led by Mona Barnes.
Barnes said: “A world-class claims function is at the heart of every insurance proposition.
“I’m delighted that Knutson is bringing his valuable insight and expertise to Aon and our global claims team.”
Experience
Knutson joins from Marsh, where he has held senior leadership positions since 2011, most recently leading the international claims solutions team.

Previously, Knutson was a director at Clifford Chance.
Kus said that Knutson was “a highly effective global claims leader with over 20 years of experience and expertise”.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
