’He brings deep market expertise, a strong understanding of client needs and a proven ability to lead across diverse markets,’ says co-chief executive

Aon has expanded the leadership responsibilities of Vlad Bobko, who will now serve as global head of strategy for political risk, war risk and crisis management for risk capital, in addition to his role as chief executive of central and Eastern Europe and Nordics.

In his dual role, Bobko will help strengthen Aon’s ability to deliver integrated risk capital capabilities for clients operating across international markets.

Joining Aon in 2004 as country manager for Ukraine, Bobko’s expanded responsibilities bring together regional leadership and specialist risk expertise at a time when organisations are facing increasing geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain disruption and security challenges.

Joe Peiser, chief executive of risk capital, said: “Political risk, war risk and crisis management are increasingly important considerations for organisations operating in a complex and interconnected world.”

‘Deep market expertise’

Since 2010, Bobko has held regional leadership roles at Aon across central and Eastern Europe, first as chief broking officer and subsequently as chief executive.

He also led Aon’s crisis management activities in its Global Broking Centre from 2013.

Kai-Frank Buechter, co-chief executive of EMEA, said: “Bobko has played a significant role in the development of our business across central and Eastern Europe over many years.

“He brings deep market expertise, a strong understanding of client needs and a proven ability to lead across diverse markets. As he expands his responsibilities, he is well positioned to build on that success and advance how we serve clients across markets.”
