Clear Group has appointed Phil Williams to group chief commercial officer as part changes to its senior leadership team.

Williams, who previously led the UK retail arm, will lead the commercial agenda across the group in his new role and focus on accelerating growth opportunities, strengthening client propositions and enhancing commercial execution.
He will continue leading the UK retail strategy until he takes up his new role in September.
With Williams taking up a new position, Matthew Alcott has been appointed as his successor, joining the business as UK retail chief executive.
He joins Clear Group from Aon, where he most recently served as UK chief commercial officer.
‘Excellent choices’
In his new role, Alcott will aim to build on the progress made to date in the UK retail arm.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
