Combining the two appointee’s skills will help the firm ‘shape its broking strategies’, says chief executive

Aon has announced two changes to its UK commercial risk leadership team, subject to regulatory approval.

Head of UK commercial risk and Aon’s Global Broking Centre James Baum has been promoted to the role of head of wholesale and speciality broking.

In his new role, Baum will continue to lead the broking centre in London and will be responsible for delivering broking strategies across all international wholesale markets.

UK chief commercial officer Jane Kielty, meanwhile, has been appointed to the role of head of commercial risk UK.

She will focus on bringing together all delivery parts of commercial risk in the UK, with the aim of improving service and capability for clients across the country.

Kielty will continue to be responsible for her former duties until a successor is appointed – this process is currently underway.

Together, Baum and Kielty’s focus will be on building momentum and alignment across both retail and wholesale broking.

Aon UK chief executive Julie Page said: “Both James Baum and Jane Kielty are incredibly experienced leaders with vast expertise in delivering risk solutions for clients and business success.

“I know that they will bring their knowledge and skills together to shape our broking strategies and develop new products and proposition for our clients, helping them to make better decisions.”
