Arag Law’s personal injury business acquired by Minster Law

Minster Law has acquired the personal injury business of Arag Law as the specialist law firm continues to expand its insurer-led legal services offering. 

The transaction includes Arag Law’s personal injury legal team and active caseload, with the firms stating the deal will provide continuity for insurer partners and customers while ensuring a seamless transition of services.

The acquisition also establishes a new Minster Law office in Bristol, extending the firm’s regional footprint following the opening of its London office earlier this year.

Shirley Woolham, chief executive at Minster Law, said: “This acquisition is another deliberate step in our long-term growth strategy and reflects our confidence in the future of specialist personal injury legal services.”

She added that the personal injury market had become “an increasingly specialist discipline”, requiring continued investment in legal expertise, technology and operational capability.

‘Strategic expansion’ 

The deal comes after Woolham told Insurance Times in March 2026 that her firm was “actively seeking acquisitions in the market”.

According to Minster Law, this acquisition supports its strategy of selectively acquiring specialist personal injury businesses that complement its operating model and strengthen its position in the market.

Mike Lowe, director of law at Arag Law, said the transaction would provide continuity for clients, colleagues and business partners.

“This is an excellent deal for both Minster Law and Arag Law, furthering Minster Law’s strategic expansion into delivering specialist personal injury services,” he said.
