’Corgi is built to be full-stack and we look forward to expanding what we can write on this paper as we bring more products to market,’ says chief operating officer

Artificial intelligence (AI) financial infrastructure company Corgi Insurance has launched an admitted insurance carrier.

Called Corgi Insurance Company, the carrier expands the group’s admitted commercial lines capabilities across small business risks, with eligible policies protected by the state guaranty fund.

With an office in London, Corgi’s carrier adds to the structures the firm already operates across its group, which include risk retention groups, reinsurers, captives and MGAs.

Corgi said that the admitted carrier broadens the set of tools the firm can bring to a given account.

Products

Offerings are intended for a range of firms, including technology companies, professional and administrative offices, retail stores and personal services businesses.

Products include cover for self-storage facilities, restaurants, condominium and homeowners associations and small apartment buildings and residential rental properties.

Commenting on the launch, Emily Yuan, co-founder and chief operating officer, said: “Corgi is built to be full-stack and we look forward to expanding what we can write on this paper as we bring more products to market.”
