’Joining the board is, for me, a way to turn something deeply personal into something purposeful,’ says new board member

Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) has added Tracy-Lee Kus, chief executive at Aon’s Global Broking Centre, to its board of industry leaders.

Kus brings over 30 years of experience in both underwriting and broking, alongside being a leader of diversity and inclusion in the industry.

As a new board member, Kus will support the IUAD in its new goal to reach £20m by 2030 as it looks to accelerate progress towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives.

Kus said: “I am most excited about the opportunity to help mobilise our industry – bringing together insurers, brokers and partners to fund research, support carers and use our collective influence for meaningful impact.

”Dementia is no longer an abstract future risk, there are almost a million people living with the disease in the UK and it has become the UK’s leading cause of death. I am looking forward to being able to contribute my experience, networks and energy to a campaign that moves beyond awareness and delivers tangible support and progress.”

Kus also holds a personal connection to the cause as she revealed that her mother lives with dementia.

“Watching someone you love change in ways you cannot stop is both heartbreaking and humbling,” she continued.

“Joining the board is, for me, a way to turn something deeply personal into something purposeful whilst also contributing my experience, networks and energy to a campaign that moves beyond awareness and delivers tangible support and progress.”
