‘His extensive broker network and multi-decade experience driving broker strategies across international markets will prove invaluable,’ says chief underwriting officer

The Fidelis Partnership (TFP) has appointed Mark Khan as its new head of broker relationships, effective from 2 February 2026.

A privately-owned MGA, TFP currently underwrites more than $5bn (£3.7bn) in gross written premium (GWP) globally, with a focus on property, bespoke and specialty (re)insurance products.

Khan – whose 35 years’ experience in the industry includes 16 years in senior positions at Aon and 17 years as a senior vice president at Marsh – joins from Ki Insurance, where he acted as broker relationship leader for the firm’s Lloyd’s syndicate 1618.

TFP said that in his new role Khan would be responsible for “deal-by-deal execution of the firm’s broker strategy” and “generating and growing new business by supporting underwriters in managing their broker relationships”.

He will report directly to Michael Davern, TFP’s UK chief underwriting officer and group head of D&F property and energy.

Invaluable experience

Davern said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Khan to the team. His extensive broker network and multi-decade experience driving broker strategies across international markets will prove invaluable as we continue to reinforce TFP’s market position across all classes in which we operate.

“TFP’s broker relationships and trusted collaboration with external partners have been central to our success in meeting urgent and evolving market demands with innovative insurance solutions. Khan’s expertise in winning and growing these relationships will be hugely beneficial to both TFP and our Pine Walk MGAs as we continue to grow our business pipeline internationally.”

The new appointee added: “TFP’s reputation for underwriting leadership and for nimble, creative solutions to the market’s most critical capacity needs make this an incredibly exciting opportunity.

“I’m looking forward to collaborating with the talented underwriters across both TFP and Pine Walk, helping to reinforce their unique market position and to seize new opportunities in a complex and rapidly evolving risk landscape. As a broker for over three decades, I understand the importance of clarity of communication and understanding of an underwriter’s strategy.”
