Westfield Specialty International has promoted Katie MacGregor to chief operating officer.

In her new role, MacGregor will lead operational functions across the international business — covering UK, Middle East and Europe — working closely with senior leadership to support strategic growth plans across these markets.

Experience
MacGregor joined Westfield Specialty International in 2016 following 12 years in senior claims leadership roles at Liberty Specialty.

She has spent the last decade serving as head of claims. In her new role, she will report to Anthony Baldwin, president at Westfield Specialty International.
Baldwin said: “As we expand into new markets, build out our portfolios and widen our distribution network, MacGregor’s deep operational expertise, attention to detail and ability to drive best‑in‑class service make her ideally suited to take on the COO position.
“Her leadership will be critical as we continue to scale our international platforms and deliver the responsiveness and service excellence our brokers and clients expect.”

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
