’I’ve valued and admired her thoughtful, steady approach,’ says chief executive
Nathalie Dufresne is retiring following more than two decades with Intact Insurance.

Dufresne most recently served as the insurer’s senior vice president and chief underwriting officer for the UK and Ireland, a role she has held since 2022.
Before this, she spent 17 years in multipe Canada focused roles, including senior vice president of commercial lines and vice president of personal lines actuarial.
Intact Insurance said that during her time with the firm, she strengthened underwriting foundations, advanced pricing, data and risk consulting capabilities and supported the firm’s transformation.

Intact Insurance UK chief executive Ken Norgrove said: ”I’d like to personally recognise and thank Dufresne as she begins her well‑earned retirement after an exceptional career with Intact.

His career began in 2019, when he joined a local north London newspaper after graduating from the University of Sheffield with a first-class honours degree in journalism.
He took up the position of deputy news editor at Insurance Times in March 2023, before being promoted to his current role in May 2024.View full Profile
