‘By embedding our rigorous research and customer insights right at the point of purchase, we are addressing a critical market gap,’ says commercial director

Consumer advocacy group Which? has partnered with price comparison website MoneySuperMarket to launch a new insurance comparison platform.

The new platform, which will launch as a co-branded venture, will offer comparison services for car, van and travel insurance.

Which? said the move represented an “evolution” in how it supports consumers and that by partnering with MoneySuperMarket it can introduce “trusted and rigorous analysis and advice directly into the purchasing journey of the consumer, providing further additional information to help consumers make more informed decisions”.

Users of the service will see Which? scores and endorsements displayed directly on insurance results cards, with the ability to sort providers by their awarded score.

Phil Amy, commercial director at Which?, said: “By embedding our rigorous research and customer insights right at the point of purchase, we are addressing a critical market gap and empowering consumers to make better choices. It is hard for consumers to know which providers are the most trustworthy, let alone which policy is best for them.

“Giving them the information we are now providing is a huge step in the right direction towards consumers getting the peace of mind and confidence they deserve when it comes to insurance.”

Extensive review

Amy also explained that MoneySuperMarket was selected following an extensive review and offered an ”exciting, forward-thinking technological roadmap aligned with the future direction of Which? and our mission to champion UK consumers”.

Sara Newell, commercial director at MoneySuperMarket, added: “We’re delighted to partner with Which? to bring consumers an even more trusted way to compare and buy car, home, van and travel insurance.

“For more than three decades, MoneySuperMarket has been committed to helping households save money. By combining our market-leading technology with Which?’s rigorous analysis and advice we’re giving customers access to a tailored, seamless experience that helps them feel confident they’re getting a great deal.”
