NIG has completed the integration of Avon into its office network and claims it has honoured its promise to keep all of Avon's regional staff.

The commercial insurer has completed the incorporation of Avon in less than 100 working days after acquiring Avon at the end of October 2002. In locations where both companies have offices, the two work on one site while separate Avon offices continue as commercial branch offices.

NIG manager Mike Crane said: "Our structure means that we will have 24 distinct offices located close to our supporting brokers which is a core component of NIG's commercial business strategy.

"We have already started to convert Avon private car services onto NIG systems and this is running smoothly. We are now piloting the conversion of commercial policies."
