Feeding your dog chocolate will hasten its expiry date

Pet insurers have been warned to expect a rise in claims this week…relating to dogs and Easter eggs.

According to one pet expert, if dogs get hold of your chocolate, it could result in potentially fatal consequences.

Andrew Selby, the head of online pet insurance provider Pet Guard, said: “We’re expecting a spike in claims this Easter as dogs pounce on unguarded chocolate. We always advise our customers to keep chocolate out of reach of dogs, but we’re also realistic and appreciate that accidents can happen.”

Backchat can safely report that all its Easter Eggs were handled with care and kept well out of reach of any animal. Yum!
