Norwich Union has created the new role of personal lines underwriting consultant within its intermediary business, personal lines regional offices.
Four new Consultants will operate in Leeds, Norwich and Birmingham with responsibility for the management and development of underwriting capability within their teams.
Karen Felton, academy manager for Norwich Union said: “Our brokers tell us that they want access to knowledgeable staff who can make underwriting decisions.
"Norwich Union is committed to developing our broker business and relationships in the personal lines market and the creation of this role demonstrates our commitment to provide a first class service.
"We are also promoting closer working with commercial underwriters to give a greater focus on the customer.”
The consultants have been recruited from existing staff.
