Omni Whittington has made two appointments to the board of its Lloyd's managing agency.
Neil Deshpande has joined as managing director of Omni Whittington Capital Management (OWCM), and Nick Woolridge has joined OWCM as director of underwriting.
Deshpande takes over from Omni Whittingon's chief executive of UK operations, Tony Hobrow. The company said Hobrow would now be able to focus more fully on his other responsibilities within the group.
Prior to his appointment Deshpande worked as a freelance consultant, having previously held roles with Cassidy Davis Insurance Group.
Woodridge has worked in the insurance market for 27 years, specialising in underwriting reinsurance.
Most recently he advised international reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter and Lloyd's on reinsurance to close for syndicates with open years of account, said Omni Whittington.
