PartnerRe has appointed Mike Mitchard as chief information officer.
Mitchard brings with him 23 years of experience in information technology, most recently at ACE Overseas General, where he took operational control of the company's global data centre and European systems groups in 1998.
PartnerRe president and CEO Patrick Thiele said, "Mike is a seasoned IT professional. I am confident that Mike and the professionals on the Group and local IT teams will provide the support we need to execute our business strategies going forward."
Mitchard will be replacing Werner Heiz, who is retiring from the company.
