Honour will “increase the profile of protection business”

Health and income protection specialist Peter Le Beau was awarded an MBE in the Queen’s birthday honours list for services to the insurance industry and charity.

He told Insurance Times: “I was absolutely delighted by this honour. I hope that it can in a small way increase the profile of protection business in this country. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career in the business and made many friends and learnt much from many colleagues over the years"

Le Beau began his career at Commercial Union, moved to British and European and then to Swiss Re, where he was initially head of underwriting and later became head of UK marketing. In 2001 he set up an independent consultancy, Le Beau Visage, in Sittingbourne, Kent.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
