Standard & Poor's ratings service has revised its outlook for Zurich Financial Services (ZFS) to positive from stable.

The outlook revision reflects the improvement in ZFS's operating performance and management's commitment to further operational improvements, according to the ratings agency.

A spokesperson for Zurich said: “Zurich Financial Services Group (Zurich) has taken notice of the decision announced by Standard & Poor's to change the outlook on the Group's credit rating from A+ stable to A+ with a positive outlook.

“Zurich welcomes this step, which is a confirmation of the Group's successful efforts to further improve the financial strength of the company by focusing on operational excellence, a well diversified risk portfolio and disciplined profitable growth."
