Post Magazine, an insurance weekly, has abandoned attempts to raise its recruitment advertising share by offering “solus” deals.

Clients were being offered discounts of up to 50% off ratecard if they agreed not to advertise in Insurance Times. No client agreed to a deal, and one outraged client reported Post Magazine to the magazine industry's trade body, the Periodical Publishers Association.

After receiving letters from solicitors acting for Insurance Times, Post Magazine admitted it had offered “solus” deals, but stated that it has now abandoned this practice.
