Ai Claims’ Sandhu, Shaw and Harrison land group roles

Insurance outsourcing firm Quindell has announced its new management structure, which includes group roles for senior figures at its credit hire division Ai Claims, Insurance Times can reveal.

It also plans to announce its three new contract wins in the next seven to 10 days.

Under the new structure Ai Claims chief executive David Sandhu will become group chief operating officer, where part of his responsibility will be strengthening ties between Quindell’s acquisitions.

Ai Claims commercial director Chris Shaw has been named chief innovation officer and finance director Peter Harrison will become group chief financial officer, reporting to group finance director Laurence Moorse, who retains his position.

They join Robert Thomson, who was previously named group chief revenue officer.

Quindell’s chief technology officer Matt Whiting will become chief executive of the software as a service (SaaS) and global infrastructure division.

Quindell will be structured around two main divisions: technology and outsourcing. Mick Sargent remains head of the technology division, while Quindell Legal Services chief executive Robert Fielding will head up the outsourcing division. Both Sargent and Fielding will report to group chief executive Rob Terry.

Fielding will be supported by Ai Claims chief operating officer Simon Pook, who will become chief operating officer of the outsourcing division.

Terry said: “The appointment of these key roles and bringing all of the brands under one banner signals the end of the first phase of our integration.”

As announced in its trading update on Monday, Quindell is close to signing three new customers, following on from its deal with RAC last week.

Terry said: “I would be surprised if they are not all announced within the next seven to 10 days.”

He declined to name the firms but said: “One of is one of the largest brokers with a massive high-street presence in the UK. Another is a top-tier insurer. The third is a broking division of a top-tier auto insurer.”
