Royal & SunAlliance USA announced today that Terry Broderick is retiring from his position as president and chief executive, to take effect on 30 June.

He will be succeeded by Steve Mulready who is currently president and chief executive of R&SA's US commercial division.

The company said Broderick had decided to retire for health reasons and to devote more time to outside interests.

He has been with R&SA since 1973 and was appointed president in 1997 and chief executive in 2000.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
