An Appeal court judge has called for wide-ranging changes to current insurance law, including advocating a new insurance contracts act to reform insurance law as a whole.
Lord Justice Longmore said: “The time has come when, in my view, both the law and the market should adopt sensible reforms across the board.”
Longmore suggested a number of areas which he said the Law Commission needed to examine.
He was speaking at the British Insurance Law Association conference.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
