The Regency Group founder Kerry Michael has moved to a non-executive role following a management restructure.

The Somerset-based warranty and insurance scheme provider said Michael would move to the role of non-executive chairman of the group, from the role of executive chairman. In addition Kerry would no longer have an office at the Regency Group, but would still attend board meetings, said the company.

Group managing director Craig Wright said: "Kerry Michael's involvement with the day-to-day running of the business has lessened since the Regency Group was taken over by South Staffordshire Group in 2002."

In other changes, directors Michelle Michael and Mike Moizer, responsible for Regency subsidiary Contract Services and customer services respectively, will leave at the end of February, said the group.

The company has also recruited a new financial director, Martin Napper, who joins the group from Ambersil.
