Restoration company takes major stake in specialist

The Revival Company has acquired a majority stake in a disaster recovery specialist, making it the largest restoration firm in the UK.

The fire and flood restoration company acquired an 80% stake in technical disaster recovery experts, Arepa.

The deal will position The Revival Company as the leading restoration firm in both the domestic and commercial markets.

Arepa UK is part of the Arepa Group, headquartered in Denmark and with offices throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

Arepa has handled high-profile recovery projects such as the explosion at the Buncefield fuel depot in 1995, and more recently, the technical restoration work at the fire-damaged Royal Marsden Hospital.

Graham Orriss, managing director of The Revival Company, said: “With the acquisition of Arepa we are able to offer a complete solution for loss adjusters across a wide range of loss types and sizes.

“In today’s market place there are few disaster recovery companies that can offer all the necessary skills from a single source, but with the linking of Arepa and The Revival Company, we have the established network and the technical expertise that are second to none.”
