Lloyd’s broker RFIB Group has appointed Stephen Hirst as director of RFIB Marine Limited with effect from 1 June 2004.
Current managing director Adrian Tanner retires later in the year, and, as a result Hirst will assume the role of managing director on 1 August 2004, said the group. Hirst will join the group’s board at the same time.
Prior to his appointment, Hirst was deputy chairman of Willis’ marine division, and in 2003 took over the day-to-day management of the hull division of Willis Marine. He is also a former deputy chairman of the Lloyd’s Insurance Brokers Committee.
