Ripe Insurance debuts six clicks Ripe Valuables policy for jewellery and watch cover.

Specialist niche insurance provider Ripe Insurance (formerly JRW) has launched a new policy for jewellery and watches called Ripe Valuables.

A bespoke quote can be provided within six clicks. By removing “unnecessary extras” from the process, Ripe claims its product can quickly deliver consumers exactly what they want. Ripe Valuables will also offer customers unlimited international cover as standard.

Ripe Insurance Chief executive Colin Whitehead explained: ”We’ve planned to move into this space for quite some time as it is the logical next step – considering we insure peoples’ passions, it makes sense that we also insure their treasured possessions. Valuables match the strong demand we’ve seen from customers for simple, quick insurance policies offering value.”

Whitehead claims that by cutting out forms and traditional insurer overheads, prices remain competitive and the customer saves time. A refund the difference option is available if customers find a cheaper policy with the same level of cover elsewhere.

Ripe Insurance’s several brands include Golf Care, Insure4drones and Cycleplan. The launch of Ripe Value marks a step into valuables insurance that had been planned for some time and took “painstaking preparation” according to Whitehead.  

 

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
