Royal & SunAlliance has finished rolling out its Enterprise small business initiative by opening its fourth and final centre for brokers at Hertford.

Within minutes of its opening, the centre sold its first policy to Essex broker Grace Corporate Insurance Services, one of 200 brokers invited to pilot the new service.

Grace's owner, Tony Crowley, said the Enterprise small business centre had almost halved the time it takes to despatch policy documents to under 48 hours.

The Hertford-based centre's service area runs north/ south from Norwich to Southampton and east/west from London to Reading. It completes RSA's network of small business centres for brokers which includes Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow.

Simon Cooter, small business manager for RSA, said: “Brokers will automatically be transferred to the centre closest to them to ensure that they receive expertise from trained underwriters with extensive knowledge of their local market.”
