Specialists will be responsible for training design and delivery

Technology specialist SSP has strengthened its training and development team with the appointment of two training specialists.

The move comes after feedback highlighted that SSP’s customers were keen to receive more help in maximising the selling opportunities through their IT infrastructure.

SSP has hired Paul Morris for one of the roles from Jelf Insurance Brokers, where he held the position of regional sales manager and branch manager for 13 years. Morris has 25 years’ experience of the insurance industry, and in his new job will design and deliver bespoke training and development programmes.

Paul Kelly (pictured) has also been promoted to take up the position of training specialist after four years at the company. Kelly will be responsible for delivering training courses on best practice.

SSP strategy and proposition director Derek Findlayson said: “After speaking with and listening to our brokers, we have made these appointments to help them squeeze every ounce of potential out of our systems.

“In a hugely competitive market, our technology frees up time to let brokers focus on managing their clients and gives them the information required to up sell and cross sell more effectively. This is essential if brokers are going to improve their margins and grow their sales in today’s challenging trading environment.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
