Legal & General is offering university students free insurance for personal possessions, when their parents have a household policy.
Students whose parents have a Legal & General contents policy are automatically covered at no extra charge while living away from home as full-time students. The temporary cover is 15% of the parents' total sum of contents insurance.
Managing director John Castagno said: “When students move away from home for the first time, there are so many things to think about, insurance often gets overlooked.
“Legal & General's insurance gives parents peace of mind and a sense of home comfort at no extra cost.”
