Swiss Re has appointed Clarence Wong as its new Chief Economist for the Asia-Pacific region.
Based in Hong Kong, Wong will lead the Economic Research and
Consulting team, which provides Swiss Re with Asian insurance analysis. Wong's team will also be responsible for contributing to Swiss Re's insurance industry report, sigma.
Wong joined Swiss Re in early 1999 as a senior economist in the Economic Research and Consulting department. Previously, he worked with Price Waterhouse in its management consulting arm, and in the R&D department of Hutchison Trading.
