BUPA is overhauling its range of healthcare products.

The added benefits include maternity cover and dental benefit on some of its Lifeline and Company schemes, as well as home nursing costs and a cash benefit of £75 per night across all schemes.

Premiums will now rise in October, but “no higher than in the last two years,” said spokesman John Clarke. “Our annual increase will be 2%.

“Customers have been asking for maternity cover and dentist benefit – and they will tell other people about it,” he said.

BUPA, which has 39% of the market share, is also improving the benefits for its range of comprehensive healthcare cover for people living and working overseas for six months or more.
