A major project to consolidate nine Towergate businesses on to the Misys system has been completed after five months.
The project includes Misys' most complex scheme installation at MIA General Insurance and SMG Professional Risks, part of Towergate's specialist medical and PI divisions.
This brings the number of Towergate staff using the Misys system to 155 – a figure which is expected to increase as the partnership expands.
A Towergate statement said the transfer to one centralised Misys system had “improved processing times” and “increased overall productivity”.
Misys chief executive Phillip Bell said: “Completing the Towergate project in such a tight timescale is a significant achievement considering the complexity of the schemes and underwriting factors involved.”
