Caerphilly-based insurance broker Thomas Carroll has expanded its management team with two new appointments.

Alison Nolan and Nick James have been appointed personal insurances manager and IFA director respectively.

Nolan joins Thomas Carroll from HSBC. Her new responsibilities will include managing all private insurances with particular concentration on the household high net worth sector, said the company.

Prior to joining the company, James was national sales manager for Mazars Financial Services, with responsibility for 24 regional and affinity groups. His new role will include advising corporate and personal clients, with the additional responsibility of expanding the team of IFAs, said Thomas, Carroll.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
