Wealthy footballers and city raders are spending huge amounts on their wardrobes

Aon this week issued a warning to high net worth man and his predilection for expensive designer garb.

According to the broker, city traders, footballers and other wealthy gents are spending increasing amounts on their wardrobes, adding up to as much as a third of their home contents value.

Designer suits, watches and shoes all add up. Richard Evans of Aon Private Clients said: “It is not at all unusual to see a sum insured for clothing represent £100,000 of a total sum insured for general contents of £250,000.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
