Wellington Syndicate 2002 hull underwriter Peter McIntosh has been elected chairman of the Joint Hull Committee (JHC) In London.

McIntosh replaced William Beveridge who recently resigned from the post. Beveridge would remain an active member of the committee, said the JHC.

The JHC is a joint initiative by the International Underwriting Association and Lloyd's Underwriters' Association. Its role is to support and develop the role of the London hull insurance market.

McIntosh played a leading role in the development of the International Hull Clauses 2003, said the JHC.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
